About Us
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
The Society of Hand Engraving Artists evolved from a weekly zoom with the listeners of Wade Wilson’s Hand Engraving Podcast. Listeners from around the world logged in to network and talk all things engraving.
Discussing engraving and design projects, trouble shooting latest challenges and generally bridging the gap from one engraver to the next, in a craft that is often solitary.
With a variety of levels of expertise emerging in the group, the discussion turned to guidance, mentoring and collaboration. The Society of Hand Engraving Artists was born.
The mission is to lift the skill of each member of The Society of Hand Engraving Artists in their craft. With a multitude of styles, formats and subject - every member has something to learn, and most have something to teach. Members are encouraged to share their knowledge, mentor and in return be committed to improving the art of hand engraving in this international engraving group.
Alongside regular Zoom calls we have engraving resources and courses that are recommended or taught by our members. The society is ever evolving to meet the needs of our members, so watch this space for new talks, tutorials, development programmes and resources.
Everyone is invited to join the zoom calls Thursday 8pm CST. Contact either Wade Oliver Wilson or Adam Kelly for the link.

As the Society is ever evolving we will be inviting new memberships in January/February each year. This is to ensure the success of the programs within a limited membership for the time being.
